I have spent my whole life in the Dubuque Area growing up will all types of animals; dogs, cats, horses etc. I have always had a passion to help and care for animals.

I graduated from Western Dubuque in 1996 and pursued a degree in Veterinary Technology at Kirkwood Community College, graduating in 2001. I have been working as a Veterinary Technician for over 10 years and LOVE it (I also teach the Puppy Preschool classes at Central Animal Hospital)!

Now that I have my own home, I have filled it with animals including Cheyenne my diabetic Siberian Husky, Sadie and Dakota, my 2 Shelties, and Lexus my Puggle. My newest addition is a sassy Lionhead rabbit!

Audra Murphy – Receptionist

I have been on staff at Central Animal Hospital since June of 2011.  I have always had a passion for animals, so Central Animal Hospital is a perfect fit.  Witnessing the many happy outcomes for both pets and owners is incredibly rewarding and I have been personally pleased with the care my animals have received.

My Husband, Pete, son Will and I share our household with two cats and two dogs.  All of our critters were rescues from the Dubuque Humane Society.  Buggers is our oldest feline at 9 years of age and Torti is our newest addition at 6 years of age.  Our pack of dogs includes Ishmael a 10 year old shepherd lab mix and our youngest, Jeb, is a 8 year old greyhound mix.   Needless to say, there is rarely a dull moment at the Murphy residence.
